No punishment for Knights forward after elbowing penalty
There will be no discipline handed down toward Vegas Golden Knights forward Braeden Bowman following his ejection in Monday’s game against the Boston Bruins.
Bowman was assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct for elbowing Boston forward Matthew Poitras in the second period.
It was the first time in Bowman’s career that he was ejected.
No punishment means Bowman will be available for the Knights’ game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.

Bowman’s elbow was tucked into his body, per the NHL’s ruling, and Poitras’ head was not the point of contact.
Poitras was bleeding and had to be helped to the locker room. He returned later in the game wearing a face shield.
The Knights, playing with 11 forwards, rallied from a two-goal deficit to force overtime but lost 3-2 in a shootout.
Bowman, 23, has six points in 16 games this season.
