Delaware election results 2026: Chris Coons projected to win Del. Senate race

ABC News projects Democrat Chris Coons will win reelection to the U.S. Senate in Delaware, defeating Republican Mike Katz.

Coons won a third full term over Katz, who had previously been a Democrat and served as a state lawmaker.

Coons has criticized President Donald Trump's tariffs and described the war with Iran as illegal.

Delaware has not elected a Republican senator in more than three decades.
