Rep. Herb Conaway wins second term in Congress

Rep. Herb Conaway (D) won a second term in Congress after defeating GOP challenger Michael McGuire, the Associated Press projected Tuesday.

Conaway, a physician, entered Congress two years ago after winning the seat previously held by now-Sen. Andy Kim (D).

Conaway, who served for 27 years in the Assembly before ascending to federal office, urged voters during the campaign not to put “another MAGA Republican in Congress.”
