Lawsuit filed in alleged sex assault after HFD battalion chief not charged

A 33-year-old civilian employee of the Honolulu Fire Department who accused a battalion chief of raping her at work on Valentine’s Day 2025 has filed a civil lawsuit accusing city officials of refusing to charge him with a crime.
