Can Boston break a record on this unusually warm November day?
It’s the warmest day of this unusually mild November stretch and it’ll be the closest we get to a record. The numbers to beat (or match) are 78 in Boston and 74 in Worcester.

Yesterday we hit 74 in Boston – even with considerable cloud cover.
Breezes will kick up this afternoon, and slightly more humid air will reach us late day. That will keep the overnight low temps in the 50s – our normal highs for this time of year.

Tomorrow isn’t as warm, but it’s still in the 70s.
Clouds will get the upper hand as a slow-moving weather system inches our way. A few showers could move in by evening.

More rain will be coming on Friday with some embedded downpours and a chance for a couple of thunderstorms on Cape Cod.
Guidance is showing the heaviest amounts focused on southeast Massachusetts – primarily in Bristol, Plymouth, and Barnstable counties. It’s here we may see 2-3” inches of rain with the possibility of isolated spots near 4”. While recent dry weather is keeping the flood threat low, heavy rain will be moving slowly, increasing the threat for localized flooding.

Cooler air slowly moves in over the weekend, with gradual drying on Saturday and sun returning on Sunday. A general trend to even cooler weather is expected after Tuesday.
