New Mexico Goatheads look for first-ever home win against Allen Americans

RIO RANCHO, N.M. — The New Mexico Goatheads hockey team is back in action Wednesday night against the Allen Americans from Allen, Texas.

The Goatheads are looking for their first home game win of the season. They won Oct. 24 against the Tahoe Knight Monsters but that was on the road.

The Goatheads have come close to winning at home, going into overtime twice – Oct. 17 against the Idaho Steelheads and Oct. 30 against the Rapid City Rush – before narrowly losing each time.

The puck drops 7 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Events Center. It’s also Pucks and Pages Night at the rink. That celebrates bookworms and encourages young fans to read, learn and enjoy hockey.
