Knueppel to make season debut for Hornets tonight at Brooklyn
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - One of the Hornets’ biggest offensive weapons will suit up Wednesday night for the first time this season.
The team announced that second-year shooting guard Kon Knueppel will be activated and make his season debut against the Brooklyn Nets.
Knueppel had missed the first eight games of the season with a hamstring injury after missing just one game in his entire rookie season.
His return could not come at a better time for Charlotte. The team currently ranks dead-last in the NBA scoring just 97 points per game during this 3-5 start.
The Hornets also rank second-to-last in 3-point shooting, something Knueppel’s presence should greatly help.
He led all of the NBA with 273 3-point shots made in the 2025-26 season.
With starting point guard Coby White making his return last week, the Hornets starting five will now play together for the first time this season.
Grant Williams remains the only player on the roster still working back from an injury. He suffered a hamstring injury before the season began and was just cleared to practice with the Greensboro Swarm as he nears a return to Charlotte.
