Warm days for now ahead of a nice fall front this weekend
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We stay dry and warm Thursday and Friday with highs near 80° each day. Lows in the upper 50s north and mid 60s south. This weekend a real fall front brings in a mid November chill.
Skies clear and winds go light. That sets up efficient cooling, with lows in the low to mid 50s north of Lake Pontchartrain and upper 50s to low 60s closer to the coast.
Thursday is rather pleasant, with plenty of sunshine and highs near 80. A weak front arrives Thursday night into Friday.
The better moisture stays along and south of I-10, so isolated to scattered showers are possible there while most northern areas stay dry.
Warm days and mild nights for now before a real fall front arrives late Friday into Saturday. Highs Thursday-Friday near 80. Lows 58° north and 66° south. Then overnight lows Saturday through next Tuesday 40s north and 50s south. pic.twitter.com/eSzlCf5ndm

Highs reach around 80 to the low 80s across the north and the upper 70s near the coast Friday.
A reinforcing front moves through Friday night, and that is when it starts to feel like fall.
Saturday highs hold in the low to mid 70s with mostly dry skies. Lows Saturday night fall into the low to mid 40s across the northern half of the area and stay in the 50s closer to the coast.
Sunday cooler day with highs struggling to hit 70°.
Behind it, expect mostly dry weather early next week and temperatures in the upper 60s for highs Sunday into Monday.
