Bears report: DT Kentavius Street goes on injured reserve

Here's what happened Wednesday at Halas Hall:

Street out

Two days after he left Monday's game with a knee injury, defensive tackle Kentavius Street was put on injured reserve. He started a whopping seven of eight games for the Bears this season after signing as a free agent, though he took a backseat to Jeffery Simmons after his arrival last week. Street had one sack, two tackles for loss and nine tackles in eight games.

The Bears promoted tight end Stephen Carlson from the practice squad to take his spot on the active roster and signed former Northwestern defensive end Earnest Brown IV to the practice squad. Brown, a fifth-round pick of the Rams in 2021, hasn't played in a game in two years. Carlson played Monday night after a standard day-of-game promotion as the Bears back-filled the tight end spot following Cole Kmet's season-ending knee injury.
