Cortex event spotlights St. Louis researchers and entrepreneurs
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Cortex Innovation Community held its “We Are Cortex” event Wednesday, spotlighting entrepreneurs and researchers working in artificial intelligence, neuroscience and geospatial technology across the 200-acre district.
Leaders said highlighting these ambassadors helps showcase how local discoveries are making a global impact.
The event was meant to let St. Louisans know about research and advancement in medicine happening in their backyard.
Maggie Crane, senior vice president of public affairs at Cortex, said, “These are the people who are innovating, who are creating cures for cancer, and being able to detect if Alzheimer’s drugs are working, real things that are research based that happen with R&D in Cortex so that us the public can benefit from it one day. These are quite literally people who are changing the world. This goes far beyond St. Louis, and hopefully something that all St. Louisans can really be proud of.”
