Moonrise Hotel in Delmar Loop gets new ownership

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Joe Edwards has sold the Moonrise Hotel in the Delmar Loop as he works to downsize his portfolio. No big changes are expected at the hotel.

Edwards has opened attractions around the Loop for decades, including the Moonrise Hotel, which has a 3,000-pound rotating moon on top. He said he found two local people who had the same vision for the property.

The property will remain a hotel, and some upgrades are planned.

Edwards has sold several of his businesses in recent years. He said Wednesday that one place he never plans to sell is Blueberry Hill.
