Eirlon Deshaun Franklin, 25, has been charged with first-degree murder, possession / employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and reckless endangerment.

On November 1, Memphis Police responded to a shooting call near Danny Thomas Boulevard and Washington Avenue.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a man in the rear parking lot of a Wendy’s who was unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.
The Memphis Fire Department arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators interviewed multiple people outside the Wendy’s. They told police that they heard multiple shots, seemingly random, and could not tell where they were coming from.
Only afterwards did they notice the victim had been shot.
Records state that investigators reviewed the surveillance footage and noticed a crowd of people coming from the nightclub across the street.
Police noticed a person holding a firearm from the driver’s side and the same from the passenger side of a silver Honda Fit firing shots at the crowd of people.
The Honda Fit was identified by its tags, and officers later managed to pull the vehicle over. The driver was identified as Franklin, and officers noticed a bullet defect on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Franklin was taken into custody, and he admitted to being the driver of the Honda Fit the night of the shooting and that his vehicle was struck, but he was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Franklin’s bond information has not been posted yet. He is due in court on November 5.
