The first half painted much of the picture that would eventually be finished at the final buzzer.
Utah posted season-worst totals in turnovers and three-point shooting. The 13 turnovers and 2/20 shooting on three-point field goals were both new lows from any half of Jazz basketball this season.
The third quarter showed some signs of life, but the aforementioned ball control and shooting issues remained prevalent.
Utah scored 43 points in the third, the second-most of any quarter this season. But New Orleans would outscore Utah by 10 in the fourth to force overtime.
After back-to-back Keyonte George triples to start overtime, the Pelicans would go on a 14-0 run to seal the win at home.
In both of Utah’s two overtime games this season, the opponent went on a 12-0 run in the extra period to win.

George was one of the only bright spots for Utah on Wednesday, recording 39 points, nine assists, and four steals.
