Veteran Star-Bulletin reporter Helen Altonn dies at 95

Helen (Abood) Altonn was a young reporter, fresh out of journalism school and working at a small-town newspaper in California. When the raise she had been promised was rescinded for budgetary reasons, she decided it was time to go and try Hawaii after hearing about an opportunity at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
