Stays warm until a strong weekend front
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - All eyes are on the weekend as a strong fall front is set to sweep down to the Gulf Coast.
Today starts much cooler compared to the first half of the week. The cool start will give way to a warm day with highs climbing into the 80s.
Our flip day happens on Saturday as the front sweeps in. Expect north winds to increase and temperatures to drop quickly by early evening.
Highs hit the 70s to start the weekend but don’t make it out of the 60s come Sunday.
Some clouds will block out the sun behind this front, which will make it feel even cooler to end the weekend.
An early look at next week keeps the fall feel around for most of the week. Temperatures will moderate a bit, but humidity will stay low.
