Aging & driving
As people age and their health changes, families can face the question of when a loved one should stop driving.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports older drivers are more likely than younger drivers to be involved in a car accident. They are “more likely to be seriously hurt,” according to the agency. Most older drivers do not have a plan for when they can no longer drive, which aging experts say is critical.
Defective pipes
For more than a dozen homeowners outside Atlanta their dream home came with a costly surprise.
They’re blaming one of the nation’s biggest home builders for selling them houses with defective plumbing. Homeowners say the pipes began leaking about four years after they moved in.
Beau’s Bags
Sabrina and Brenden Miller walked through the doors of Oak Lawn Hospital with 17 bags full of comfort items, a delivery they make each year on their son’s birthday.
Nurses in the birth center received the bags, which will eventually go to mothers of stillborn children.
Positive billboards
Sam Aguiar has been a personal injury lawyer since 2008.
“It’s a tough field, but it’s a rewarding field,” Aguiar said.
In December 2024, he decided to go beyond the courtroom and put up billboards around town with motivational messages. He’s up to 60 total billboards so far.
