Knights get forward Olofsson back from injury against Red Wings

The Vegas Golden Knights will have forward Victor Olofsson back in the lineup on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings.

Olofsson returns after being out since Oct. 6 with an upper-body injury suffered against Seattle. He will return to his post at third-line right wing, skating with Trevor Connelly and Tomas Hertl.

Olofsson was off to a scorching start with four goals in the first four games. He scored twice in that game against Seattle. Kraken forward Ben Meyers cross-checked Olofsson into the boards.

The 31-year-old had to be helped to the locker room and was listed as week-to-week.

Olofsson’s return moves Braeden Bowman back to the fourth line. The Knights reassigned forward Jonas Røndbjerg and defenseman Viliam Kmec to create the space to activate Olofsson from injured reserve.
