It won’t rain this weekend in Las Vegas. But it will be windy, warmer
Don’t worry, it’s not going to rain for two consecutive weekends in Las Vegas.
But it will be windy and a little warmer than earlier this week.
There will be breezy north winds Friday and Saturday in the valley, with gusts between 15 and 25 mph, the National Weather Service said in a post on X.
Expect wind gusts up to 40 mph along the Colorado River Valley, with two-to-three foot wave heights on Lake Mohave and Lake Havasu.
There is a wind advisory for those lakes Friday and Saturday.
It won’t be as windy in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area this weekend but there will be “some light choppy waves” on the lake, said Morgan Stessman of the weather service.
For the Las Vegas Valley, daytime high temperatures will reach the low 70s, about average for early November. Overnight lows will be in the 50s.
Last weekend, a Halloween weekend deluge contributed to one of the wettest Octobers on record in Las Vegas. But the valley largely avoided major infrastructure damage from the weekend’s heavy rains.
