"GMA" co-anchor Michael Strahan, who received his own star in 2023, served as emcee.
While addressing the crowd at the ceremony, Stephanopoulos called it a "great gift" to "cover the biggest most consequential stories of our time, to interview the most interesting and inspiring people of our time, to be able to say good morning to the entire country every morning, not knowing what they're going through but trying to help guide them with the information, the advice that they need to get their day started, and maybe put a smile on their face as well."
In her speech, Roberts thanked Disney for her extensive career and for encouraging her to "venture outside of my comfort zone."
She also reflected on her television partnership with Stephanopoulos, saying, "I cannot believe that we are the longest-running duo on morning television history."
Roberts ended her remarks by addressing her wife, Amber, saying, "Thank you, hon, for opening my eyes to everything and anything that is possible and for making me believe that we are just getting started on our journey together."

In her tribute to Roberts, Nash-Betts said, "Somewhere, there is a little Black girl who will see your name on this sidewalk and realize that her dreams are possible."
"We're celebrating your courage, your faith, your kindness and the countless lives you have touched," she continued, speaking to Roberts. "Hollywood may be putting your star on the ground today, but you spent your life showing us how to reach for the sky."
In his speech, Fox said Stephanopoulos "takes his job very seriously and is proud of the work he gets to do."

"He loves the people who watch him every day, and I've seen him on several occasions have a chat with them and leave them happier than he found them," Fox added before jokingly nominating Stephanopoulos to run for office during the 2028 election.
"Think about it -- it would work, it would work," Fox said.
