Man, 23, charged with murder, robbery in Kalihi stabbing

Alexis Aquino, 23, was charged today with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 66-year-old woman Wednesday in Kalihi.

His bail was set at $1 million.

At about 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing at a business in the 2300 block of North School Street and found the victim, according to the Honolulu Police Department.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services personnel responded, treated the woman and took her in critical condition to a hospital where she died.

EMS said paramedics also treated another woman in her 60s after a fall that was related to the incident. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
