Letter: Mahalo for restoring lights at Kalihi courts

On behalf of the local tennis community and everyone who plays at the Kalakaua District Park tennis courts, I would like to thank the Department of Parks and Recreation team for restoring the tennis court lights (“Kalihi tennis players in the dark on light repairs,” Star-Advertiser, Letters, Oct. 10). Restoring the lighting has made a huge difference. Players can now safely enjoy evening matches after work and school, and the courts are getting great use again. We truly appreciate their work toward completing this project.
