21-year-old Amir Eskridge, of Yeadon, is charged with the murder of 18-year-old Richard DeShield Junior and remains at large

LANSDOWNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- An arrest warrant is out for a Delaware County man accused of murdering a Penn Wood high school senior.

Lansdowne police originally had the man in custody hours after the killing, but let him go.

Following further investigation, 21-year-old Amir Eskridge, of Yeadon, is now charged with the murder of 18-year-old Richard DeShield Junior and remains at large.

DeShield was shot dead inside a car that then crashed near North Wycombe Avenue on September 8.

Officers searched the nearby Marshall House Apartments for suspects and found Eskridge hiding in a basement electrical room, but ended up releasing him.

They hope Eskridge surrenders peacefully and are asking anyone who knows where he is to give them a call.
