Shelter Me: Meet Lola, the longest resident at the Burlington County Animal Shelter

WESTHAMPTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- In this week's Shelter me, we meet Lola!

She is officially the longest resident at the Burlington County Animal Shelter in Westhampton, New Jersey.

She came to the shelter in July 2025 after her owner's health made it impossible for them to continue caring for her and it about time she found her happily ever after!

This girl is the full package: beauty, brains, and a personality that deserves the spotlight! She is incredibly food motivated, loves to learn, and gets genuinely excited when given the opportunity to work on new tricks.

She has potential, and shelter officials say they would love to see just how far she can go with someone willing to help her get there.

Lola needs a realistic, committed adopter who understands that she is a work in progress and sees the potential behind all that enthusiasm. She needs someone willing to work alongside her, provide structure, continue her training, and give her the guidance she needs to become the best version of herself.

She regularly participates in pack walks with other dogs here at the shelter.

Shelter officials say they think she could enjoy having a canine companion who can match her energy but also has a laid-back personality and doesn't mind letting Lola steal the spotlight every now and then!
