‘Technology issue’ impacts payroll for Novant Health employees

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A “technology issue” is affecting payroll distribution for Novant Health employees on Friday.

On Friday, Nov. 6, officials said the issue affected when deposits reached employees’ financial institutions after Novant Health transitioned to a new payroll vendor last month.

Novant Health said it has completed payroll and sent funds to financial institutions for deposit into employees’ accounts, which should occur on Friday.

“We sincerely apologize for the frustration and concern this delay has caused,” a spokesperson said. “We are taking immediate steps to support affected team members, including reimbursing overdraft, late, or returned-payment fees resulting from the delay.”

Several employees have contacted WBTV, concerned about whether they will receive their pay.
