The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is briefing the media at 4 p.m. Friday about what it is calling a “death investigation” from an incident that occurred at 430 Lane Avenue South.

Police reported the crime on the city’s Westside to Action News Jax and other media outlets about 3 p.m.

A JSO spokesman said earlier responded to that location on Lane Avenue near Biddy Lane for a report of a person who was shot.
