Michael Sanft, the trial lawyer who represented the man accused in the killing of Tupac Shakur, has died, a friend confirmed Friday.

Michael Sloan said Sanft’s body was found at home Friday morning.

“He was one of my best friends and one of the best human beings I knew,” said Sloan, a Clark County District Court marshal who rode motorcycles with Sanft.
