Salvation Army kicks off Christmas season of giving
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Salvation Army of Memphis & the Mid-South is gearing up for Christmas season.
With help from the city of Memphis and Shelby County, the Angel Tree program and “Ring With Joy” Red Kettles will be out in the community starting Saturday, with a goal of raising $901,000.

Your donations help cover three meals a day and support programs for women and children working to break cycles of poverty, addiction, and homelessness.
“We know that Memphis is a great place, and we’re looking for people to just embrace this mission, because we know that when we serve and everybody serves, they are helping us together. What a community,” Major Henry Morris said.
Morris says when he sees the community come together to help others, it is truly a beautiful thing.
