Man arrested with guns near White House reported voices telling him to kill President Trump
WASHINGTON (Gray News) - A man was arrested Thursday evening after he reportedly told law enforcement the voices in his head told him to kill President Donald Trump.
The Department of Homeland Security said Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, who was in the country illegally from Venezuela, was spotted “acting suspicious” while in his car, parked near the White House.
Officials said the car was reported stolen and Chrinos admitted to having weapons.

Law enforcement reported finding three guns and dozens of rounds of ammunition.
Chrinos was then arrested and charged with:
- Carrying a rifle outside of a home or business
- Unlawful transportation of a firearm (three counts)
- Unregistered firearms (three counts)
- Unregistered ammunition (three counts)
- Possession of certain dangerous weapons
- Carrying a pistol without a license
- Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
- Theft
- Receiving stolen property
“This incident reflects the heightened threat environment in which we operate, as well as the continued number of armed individuals who are drawn to the White House complex,” U.S. Secret Service Director Sean Curran said in an issued statement. “While our personnel are trained to respond to situations like this and we remain confident in our tactics, we are alarmed by the increase in threat cases that continue to arise.”
Chrinos entered the country illegally in 2024 and was arrested by the United States Border Patrol before being released.
Following his arrest in Washington, he was placed under an immigration detainer with the U.S. Marshals Service.
