CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A suspect has been arrested on charges of selling drugs to a man that resulted in his overdose death.
Rasheed Cotton, 48, of Conshohocken, was arrested on Monday.
The victim, a 39-year-old man from Whitemarsh Township, died in April.
Officials say an investigation that included surveillance video, phone records, and license plate reader data connected Cotton to selling the drugs to the man who died.
According to investigators, the victim and Cotton had been communicating about narcotics transactions for months prior to the victim's death and remained in contact in the days leading up to the fatal overdose.
Cotton was charged with Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Possession With Intent to Deliver and related offenses.
He is being held on $100,000 cash bail.
