New Mexico could get another interstate: I-27
RATON, N.M. – New Mexico is studying a possible I-27 route across about 92 miles of U.S. 64 and 87 from the Texas state line to I-25 in Raton.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation is reviewing the highway stretch as a potential future interstate connection across northern New Mexico.
I-27 would be the fourth interstate to run through New Mexico.
Public meetings on the study start Monday, Nov. 16 in Raton.
Officials will also hold meetings in Des Moines and Clayton.
