Off-Strip casino starts selling booze again
After a brief hiatus, the booze is flowing again at an off-Strip budget casino.
Oyo hotel-casino resumed alcohol sales on Halloween, according to employees. The property temporarily paused the sale of alcohol on Oct. 23.
No reason was given for the temporary pause, which was the second time in 12 months Oyo had stopped serving alcohol.
The property previously suspended alcohol sales for 10 days in October 2025 after ending its management agreement with Highgate Hotels, which held the property’s liquor license. The change left Oyo unable to sell or serve alcohol until licensing arrangements could be addressed.
Oyo also drew attention in August after a viral social media video raised questions about online travel listings for purported hotels using the property’s address and imagery that appeared potentially misleading.
