Palisades quarterback Cole Hough rattles of long touchdown run in FFN Play of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - On a night where Cole Hough did a little bit of everything for Palisades, one play stood out above the rest on the highlight tape.
The Pumas held a 13-7 lead in the first quarter over rival Ardrey Kell in the first round of the NCHSAA 8A state playoffs.
The Knights had just scored a long touchdown to pull within six points.
Palisades responded with an exclamation point on its next drive.
Backed up on the Pumas side of the field, quarterback Cole Hough dropped back to pass. A lack of downfield options forced him to tuck the ball and try to make something happen with his legs.
More than 60 yards later, he found himself in the end zone after a sensational touchdown run that saw Hough scamper down the sidelines and make several defenders miss.
It was one of the five touchdowns Palisades scored in the first half en route to a dominant 55-17 win to advance to the second round.
