Clover stuns Lancaster with 49-13 win in first round of SCHSL 4A state playoffs

LANCASTER, S.C. (WBTV) - A disappointing end to the regular season quickly evaporated for Clover.

The Eagles came into the SCHSL 4A state playoffs with a 5-5 record after losing three of their final four games.

That didn’t matter against 8-2 Lancaster in the first round Friday night.

Clover dominated the Bruins in a 49-13 win, the program’s third playoff win in the last four years.

Next up, the Eagles make the short trip to Rock Hill to face defending champion South Pointe in the second round on Nov. 13.
