A comfortably cool weekend ahead
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a Friday cold front, this weekend will be much cooler, breezy at times, and very dry.
Expect highs on Saturday to warm to about 74 degrees - the average for this time of year. Overnight, the lows will be chilly and fall to the 40s on the north shore and the 50s in the south.
Sunday will bring the coolest day of the season so far, as we only warm to the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies.
The forecast into next week is a comfortable one with highs returning to the lower to mid 70s. Rain chances are near zero, with low humidity sticking around.
That low humidity will continue to keep burn bans in place through much of the area.
A strong cold front is likely to move through Thursday. It doesn’t look to have much in the way of rain and will drop our highs into the mid-60s by Friday.
Next weekend will be much cooler; some overnight lows could even fall into the upper 30s on the north shore - something to watch over the next week.
