NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A motorcyclist’s overnight death on Interstate 10 in eastern New Orleans is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run case, police said.
The age and identity of the adult male victim have not been disclosed.
According to the NOPD, the man “was operating his motorcycle in an erratic manner when he lost control and struck the guardrail and was ejected onto the roadway” of westbound I-10 near the Louisa Street exit.
Police said an “unknown vehicle” then drove by “and possibly struck the victim.”
The motorcyclist was taken for emergency treatment by New Orleans EMS personnel, but was pronounced dead at the hospital, the NOPD said.
