1 dead in Baden shooting, shooter says he was attacked

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man has died following a shooting Friday afternoon in the Baden area.

Police say the shooting happened after 1 p.m. in the 900 block of Canaan Avenue. When they arrived, they were met by a 47-year-old man who said he had shot another man after he had been attacked.

The 38-year-old man who had been shot was lying between two houses. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police detained the 47-year-old for further investigation. Police say that the shooter was interviewed, and noticed “injuries consistent with his claims of being attacked.”
