New Memphis program aims to empower girls through mentorship, life skills

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - 21 Shades of Pink Empowerment held an opening celebration Saturday for its new program designed to empower girls around Memphis.

Organizers and families had an opportunity to learn about the program’s mission and the opportunities it offers.

The community-based program serves girls ages 10 to 17. It focuses on mentorship, confidence-building, financial literacy, life skills, and personal development.

Organizers said the program aims to help girls build relationships with mentors, develop confidence, and prepare for future opportunities and challenges.
