4 teens arrested after allegedly trying to break into building in the Keys, deputies say

Four teenagers accused of trying to break into a building in the Keys were arrested on Friday, deputies said.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, four 14-year-old boys were captured on surveillance video trying to break into the building at 93351 Overseas Highway at 10:45 p.m.

Deputies said that the four were then found at Cromwell Court in Tavernier after the victim’s daughter was able to identify them.

The teens then admitted to deputies what they were doing, and one of them said they were responsible for two previous burglaries at the same place.

They were all arrested, and the Department of Juvenile Justice and the teens’ parents were notified.
