Dellwood residents receive free smoke alarm installation

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Dellwood residents were visited Saturday by their local fire department and the Red Cross for free smoke alarm installations.

“Sound the alarm” initiative works to help families set fire escape plans every year.

“We can do a giveaway, but if you take the time to go into someone’s home, that’s really important. And we’re also talking with them about what’s your safety plan. And so, we have information to leave back with them a kit to ensure that their homes are safe,” said Lakricia Cox with the Greater St. Louis Red Cross.
