New Mexico Museum of Natural History celebrates 40th anniversary with free shows
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science marked its 40th anniversary with free planetarium and Dyna-Theatre shows.
The museum celebrated the milestone during the anniversary event.
Attendees got to visit the planetarium and watch Dyna-Theatre shows for free as part of the 40th anniversary event.
Museum staff said the event gave the community a chance to see what makes New Mexico special.
“These are all for the most part fossils that come here from New Mexico. So if you go a musuem like the Smithsonian or one of the museums on the east coast, they have fossils from here in New Mexico on display. So we have an amazing fossil history,” said Stephanie Lukowshi, director of Education, Museum of Natural History & Science.
The museum is open every day except Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
