Activewear brand Rhone opens in Bellevue just in time for holiday shopping season

Activewear brand Rhone officially opened its first Washington store in Bellevue Square on Friday. The new location is the brand’s fourth West Coast store; the other locations are all in California.

With the opening, the retailer brings its performance apparel and inspirational mindset to shoppers across the Pacific Northwest just in time for the holiday shopping season.

Bellevue Square details

The store is located at 133 Bellevue Square and is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Rhone currently has 20 retail stores across the U.S., including several located within the Upper East Coast. The expansion is part of Rhone’s continued growth since opening in 2014. Other recent openings include King of Prussia, Houston, and San Jose, with more stores on the way, according to company officials.

The creators behind Rhone

Two brothers, Nate and Ben Checketts, founded the brand with a shared passion for apparel that supports a full, active lifestyle. The brand’s mindset is peak performance, ensuring customers have the tools they need to succeed in training, nutrition, mental wellness, and overall lifestyle.

The idea for the brand began when Nate worked for the National Football League (NFL) and noticed a cultural gap: men had not yet fully embraced premium performance wear the way women had. Meaning, this gap existed in both product and comfort, according to Greenwich. With no previous fashion background, the brothers wanted to launch a brand that was more than an athletic brand, but a mission to champion “Mental Fitness.”

The product

When scrolling Rhone’s website, styles span fitness, lifestyle, travel, and workwear. The brand also specializes in clothing for court sports, golf, and running. Rhone also has clothing partnerships with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

Most recently, Rhone has been featured for several 2026 “best of” awards for its clothing products. Features include Men’s Health, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and Men’s Journal.

Newsweek named Rhone one of the top three for “Best Athletic Attire Brand 2026,” just behind Lululemon and Athleta. Vuori ranked fourth, and Fabletics fifth.

’12 Pursuits by Rhone’

The brand leads its mission through its campaign, “12 Pursuits by Rhone,” a year-long framework for building a stronger version of yourself, one month at a time.

The campaign is inspired by framing wellness as a journey rather than a checklist.
