Car crashes into A’s Las Vegas ballpark construction site, video shows

A vehicle crashed into the construction site of the Athletics’ Las Vegas ballpark Sunday morning, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department said it was notified of a single vehicle crash at East Reno Avenue and South Las Vegas Boulevard just after 6 a.m.

Video posted on social media shows a dust-filled scene where a vehicle had crashed into a gate near the ballpark. Metro said it was an “exterior construction gate” and not a gate to the structure.

Metro said the driver was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries and added that impairment was suspected.

The is a developing story. Check back later for more.
