‘Little Rascals’ star Bug Hall asks for financial help on GoFundMe ahead of sixth child’s birth

(Gray News) - Brandon “Bug” Hall created a GoFundMe asking for financial help weeks before his family is set to welcome their sixth child.

Hall, 41, is best known for playing Alfalfa in the 1994 movie, “The Little Rascals.”

Actor Bug Hall attends the Harley and the Davidsons Summer 2016 TCA party, on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 in Los Angeles.

Hall said “there was no other choice.”

“I’ve fallen a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and an unexpected electric hookup service fee),” he wrote on GoFundMe. “We’re all overjoyed to be where we are, and we’re even enjoying roughing it, but baby six is less than a month away, and I really need some help getting the last few things buttoned up beforehand.”

Hall hopes to have everything ready on his 80-acre Arkansas property, and then have time to work until the baby arrives.

He acknowledged that “times are hard for everyone.”

“I’m no more deserving than anyone else, but I ask in your charity that you help where you can, whether monetarily, by sharing this, or by prayer,” he said.

In January, Hall told The Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and moved his family to the property in Arkansas. He said their plan was to live off the grid and build their own home.

Hall left the entertainment industry and said the career no longer aligned with his faith as a “radical Catholic extremist.” He explained his decision in a 2025 YouTube video.

“It was a hard realization, but it was something that I was pretty firm on, and I still am. The irony was that I loved the work,” he said.

People reported that Hall had given away most of his possessions and all of his savings when he took his “vow of poverty.”

Hall also starred in “The Big Green,” “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves,” “Hercules,” “Charmed,” “Cold Case” and “CSI: Miami.”

Hall has been married to his wife, Jill, since 2017.

As of Sunday, the GoFundMe exceeded its $2,000 goal with more than $20,000 in donations.
