K-9 Delta officially hit the streets for her first shift after completing several months of training with her handler, Officer K. Corbin.

Delta, a Georgia native, came to Cartersville from Hurricane Creek K-9 in Carroll County.

The department said Delta is certified in narcotics detection through the National Narcotic Dog Detector Association.

She will help officers detect drugs, support drug enforcement efforts and assist with tracking when needed.
